Just received a message from Sean to say that everyone is in great spirits and doing well.  Franzi is keeping the group very amused! They’re having lots of fun and laughter and are looking forward to today’s trek to Plaza Francia.

After breakfast the group will do an acclimatisation trek to Plaza Francia at 4200m and spend a bit of time there getting used to the thinner air. They will descend back to Confluencia this afternoon and rest well before the long day ahead tomorrow trekking up to Plaza de Mulas (base camp).

After breakfast at the Penitentes hostel, the group drove to the entrance of Horcones Park. They are now finally on their way, and will trek to Confluencia at 3368m.  Lunch, dinner and overnight in tents at Confluencia.

The group landed safely in Mendoza last night and went straight to the very comfy and luxurious Executive Park Suites hotel. They were soon tucked up and fast asleep.
