Today the team trekked for about 8 hrs to Plaza de Mulas (Base Camp 4200m). During the season, the foot of the mountain is transformed into a little village with hundreds of colourful tents and because it’s easily accessible for transport mules, there are heaps of unexpected luxuries brought in. There’s even an art shop.
The Aconcagua amigos (Sean, Mike Estment, Mario Blazevic and Tony Badenhorst) are now at Confluencia which is 3400m.
