Kili – Summit – Uhuru Peak (5895m)

Written By: sean on December 15, 2011 8 Comments

From Sean ‘We summited at 8.15am this morning!  Very cold and windy night which made it tough going but we got there’.

The climbers are on their way down now – they’ll have a short rest at Barafu, have lunch and then head down to Mweka camp situated in the forest.  It’s a very long night and day so they’ll be exhausted when they reach Mweka camp this evening but elated to have summited.
