We’ve just arrived at Karanga camp at 3930m.  Barranco wall was a piece of cake!  We’ll be spending the afternoon resting for our move to the upper mountain tomorrow – Barafu camp at 4600m.  Everyone is in good shape. I got wipped at Seven’s card game last night.  Must come back tonight or change the game!

Just in – Nicola’s Kili update: Left Baranco this morning at 3950m and scaled the Baranco wall to 4200m, which involved much rock scrambling but was actually fun! Amazing views from the top including Mt Meru and down to the rainforest.  Yesterday a porter was struck down with pulmonary odema, which makes the dangers all the more real.  We will just carry on “pole pole’ or ‘slowly slowly’.  It’s how we roll!!  After leaving the top of Baranco wall, we had a few steep ups and downs and then arrived a few hours ago at Karanga camp at 3950m.  Milo and sleep time!
