EBC – Kathmandu

Written By: sean on May 9, 2010 7 Comments

From Sean “We’re in Kathmandu….there was a moment this morning when the weather looked marginal to fly. Goose and Debs were nervous on the wing but bit their lips and and sweated out the Lukla catapult to the luxurious Hyatt.

Evereyone spent the day resting and the last person I saw was Roy having an elegant cup of tea while reading the paper. Nicci went for a massage.

I’m in Thamel having my laundry done for my next trip to Kilimanjaro in five days time. Getting here was a mission as the Maoists are rioting again and we had to drive a route that bypassed the trouble… but all good.”

Tomorrow will be spent at leisure in Kathmandu and then the final farewell dinner tomorrow night.  Home time on Tuesday.
