News in from Sean – they reached Uhuru Peak about an hour ago (6.30am), which is one of his earliest summits. Nicola and Nadine are really fit and strong. Sean’s now on the crater rim taking photos of the glaciers…

Heard from Sean – they are on their way to Barafu campsite at 4600m – and firing as strong as Khumjung yaks! They should arrive in an hour or so. We’ve just got back from Hwandile in the Transkei where we spent a lovely couple of days at the Haines’ cottage with unbelievable views of the Wild Coast – thanks to Fee & Ant, and Glynne & Hazel. Fishing was great, having caught a 3kg Rock Salmon, 2 Sand Sharks and a Silver Bream.
