Mt Kilimanjaro – 10th climb
We’ve just got back from Hwandile in the Transkei where we spent a lovely couple of days at the Haines’ cottage with unbelievable views of the Wild Coast – thanks to Fee & Ant, and Glynne & Hazel. Fishing was great, having caught a 3kg Rock Salmon, 2 Sand Sharks and a Silver Bream.
For the last two weekends, Katherine and I have been paddling the Da Real downwind surf ski series. The first race began with a gale force south westerly howler and the second, a boat crunching launch out of Umdloti. I’ve got my first Fish River Canoe Marathon coming up beginning of Oct so really excited about that. In between the surf ski races, we fitted in two canoe races.
I’m off to Kili tomorrow for my 10th climb of the highest in Africa – I will be blogging everyday from the slopes so stay in touch on this site.
