Kili – Day 4 – to Karanga camp

Written By: sean on September 21, 2010 5 Comments

Today the group will ascend the great Baranco wall which is easier than it looks and will take them about an 1hr. At the top, they’ll be able to appreciate just how beautiful Kilimanjaro really is.  Thereafter they will descend into the lush Karanga valley, trek over gently sloped hills and then up to 4100m for a hot lunch.  Dinner and overnight at the spectacular Karanga camp.

SMS from Benjie this morning proclaimed a “lovely morning, great sleep and good breakfast”. At least it appears that today will be generally easier (if that’s possible!!). Go well and safely.
