South Pole – 1 day to go

It’s the usual last minute scramble to get everything done before Sean leaves tomorrow for the Zahid South Pole expedition. Sean is super excited – he’s been longing to return to Antarctica since summiting Mt Vinson in 1998 on the first South African expedition. Sean is the videographer and photographer on the team.
From Zahid’s website www.zahidexpedition.com – ‘The Zahid South Pole Expedition will ski The Last Degree from 89 Degree south to the South Pole in Antarctica from 25 November to 11 December 2010. The Last Degree is effectively the process of making the journey over the last latitude of distance to the South Pole from 89 Degree South.’
