Rwenzoris (Uganda) – Day 1

Written By: sean on June 14, 2011 3 Comments

The team of six departs today for the mysterious ‘Mountains of the Moon’ – the Rwenzori Mountains on the border of Uganda and the Congo (DRC).  They’ll meet at OR Tambo at lunch time and then fly SAA from Joburg to Entebbe…  The team consists of Sean, Athol Surtees from the Cape, Shane Wyeth and  Lance Horne from Joburg, Andrew Pitts from Durban and Russell Lamming from the UK.

Many thanks to Christine Bro for the use of her Rwenzori pics.

    Hi Sean

Just wanted to wish you well for your trip to the mountains of the moon! (makes me jealous, sitting here in cold, windy Wellington!) Hope you have a great time.

    Hey Sean

    Wishing you an awesome trip!

Knowing you enjoy good journalism, I suggest that you get yourself a copy of the Red Pepper newspaper if you pass through Kampala. You won’t regret it 🙂
