Sean phoned late last night to say yesterday was a magical day. It had rained so hard (Sean called it ‘hard core rain’) from 11pm the previous night to 5.30am that morning that the rivers had swollen and were overflowing. At one stage the crew thought that they may not make it home as the rivers had become so difficult to cross. It was an epic battle getting to the park but they made it! When Sean phoned they were out on the town in Kasese having a few Nile largers, celebrating a fantastic and unforgettable climb.
This morning, they will drive from Kasese to Entebbe which will take about six hours, overnight at the Sunset Motel and depart at 7am tomorrow morning for home.
Thanks very much to Christine Bro for the use of her pics.
