From Sean ‘We summited at 8.15am this morning! Very cold and windy night which made it tough going but we got there’.
The climbers are on their way down now – they’ll have a short rest at Barafu, have lunch and then head down to Mweka camp situated in the forest. It’s a very long night and day so they’ll be exhausted when they reach Mweka camp this evening but elated to have summited.
Well done Tash. Very proud of you. Can’t wait to see you on Saturday.
Well done John, what a great achievement! Very proud of you.
Well done all Empangeni Climbers we are very proud of you all.
To my daughter Michelle, we knew you could do it! We are especially proud of you.
Thank you my Jamie 🙂

I can confirm this statement fully : It’s a very long night and day so they’ll be exhausted when they reach Mweka camp this evening but elated to have summited.
