Heard from Sean last night – all going well. The weather is perfect – hot and dry. So hot that Sean’s chocolate was melting in his tent. There is only one shower available in the camp so instead of queuing, a few in the group took a refreshing dip in the river close by.
Today they will take a 5 hr acclimatisation trek to Plaza Francia – which is at the base of the south face of Mt Aconcagua at 4200m, where they will have lunch and enjoy fantastic views. They will then descend for another night at Confluencia. Ascending and descending is key to the acclimatisation process.
Best of Luck to Roy and the team from all at Clifton Surf!!!!
