Kilimanjaro – to Barafu

This morning the group took a slow trek through the wild alpine desert to Barafu Hut (4600m). This afternoon they will try to get as much rest as possible before they depart for the summit at midnight tonight.

Message from Sean – We’ve arrived at Barafu. Everyone is well. Tumi wants a burger! We’re all set to leave at midnight tonight. It’s cold and cloudy now. Hold thumbs for no wind tonight.
