Mt Aconcagua – Mendoza

The group landed safely in Mendoza last night and went straight to the very comfy and luxurious Executive Park Suites hotel. They were soon tucked up and fast asleep.
This morning they are applying for their park permits, collecting hired gear and will depart the lovely city of Mendoza (famous for it’s olive oil production and wine making) for Penitentes which is about a 3 hour drive. Penitentes is a ski resort and housing base for expeditions to Mt Aconcagua. It was named after the unique rock formations that appear to represent monks.
