Mt Elbrus – day 4

Message from Sean is that everyone is well and that today’s acclimatisation hike was a good slog up to 3150m – in denims.  Instead of doing the usual route to Cheget, they went to the Observation station and had fantastic views of Mt Elbrus.  The weather was beautiful.  But the best news of all is that the bags have arrived.

Tomorrow they will be heading up to the ruins of the Priyut 11 Hut (4050m) and will descend to the Garabashi Station (3750m).
