Kilimanjaro – ‘Putting Autism on Top’

Written By: sean on November 16, 2009 No Comment

We received great feedback from Nicola Rowbotham in her article about climbing Kilimanjaro with Sean in the latest Shape magazine – thanks Nicky.

Shortly after Sean returned from Kili, we drove to Cradock in the Eastern Cape to do the Fish River canoe marathon. It’s one of the best canoeing races on the calendar – and we will return next year to conquer Cradock weir!

Since then it’s been all systems go for Sean while he works on the renovations of his beach cottage on the South Coast, in between competing in a few ultra distant surf ski races such as the 2 day Dolphin Coast event, as well as delivering his Everest motivational talk.

Sean will be departing this Saturday 21st September for his 11th climb of Kilimanjaro.  He will be guiding a group who are raising awareness for autism in South Africa by launching ‘Kilimanjaro – Putting Autism on Top’.  For those who are interested in pledging your support to this initiative, go to www.zoopy.com/awckilimanjaro.  This zoopy sight and twitter Jail4Bail #awckili; as well as Sean’s blog will be updated throughout the climb.
