On their way to BC
The crew will be trekking to Plaza de Mulas (Base Camp 4200m) today. It’s about an 8 hr trek which follows the banks of the river and is the last place where the mules will go to – from then on you carry your own pack. During the season, the foot of the mountain is transformed into a little village with hundreds of colourful tents and because it’s easily accessbile for transport mules, there are heaps of unexpected luxuries brough in – at cost, which I’m sure we’ll get to hear about….
Hoping to hear from Sean this evening.
