EBC – Khumjung to Debuche (3863m)

The trail this morning descends to the Dudh Khosi (river).  If the weather is clear, there are spectacular views of Ama Dablam (6696m) and Kantega (6779m) as well as Everest (8848m) and Lhotse (8501m).  After crossing the river, the group will climb through the afternoon among the Rhododendron forest to the saddle at the top of the hill to Tengboche, the principal monastery of the Khumbu area.  The views from here are unforgettable.  After a well earned slice of cake at the bakery, they then follow the path down from Tengboche to Deboche.
