EBC – Loboje to Gorak Shep (5100m)

Written By: sean on May 3, 2010 8 Comments

It snowed yesterday while they were walking to Loboje which made everything sparkle and look beautiful when the sun came out. Fantastic views of Everest and surrounding peaks –  clear skies at night.  One more day to go to BC!

Today, the crew will trek along the side of the Khumbu glacier to the tea shacks to Gorak Shep. For those feeling strong and if the weather is good, there is an option to climb Kala Pattar which is a neighbouring peak of Mt Everest and offers the best views of Everest.  The route up Kala Pattar is straightforward and takes most people 90 minutes. All the peaks – Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Changtse, Ama Dablam can be see from this wonderful vantage point.

    Hallo M&M,
because my English is not the best, I will write in German. Maybe you can find someone in the mountains, who can translate 🙂
Wir hoffen, euch geht es gut und die Nachricht kommt bei Euch an. Blicke das System hier noch nicht so ganz.
Wünschen Euch alles Gute und vor allem Gesundheit.
