Kilimanjaro – Baranco camp

Today the climbers started the ascent to Baranco camp. The walk becomes steeper but very scenic, along narrow valley ridges and over rocky sections towards the Moorland zone. Dinner and overnight at Baranco camp (3950m).

Kilimanjaro – Umbwe caves

The group caught the red eye on Friday night from Joburg to Nairobi and landed at Kili airport at 9am on Saturday. Yesterday was spent relaxing at the hotel pool and taking in the sights of Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance.

Mt Aconcagua – Summit – 6962m

Mt Aconcagua – Camp Nido (5500m)

Yesterday the team pushed up to Camp Nido (5500m) and are now back in Base Camp.  Sean phoned this evening to say everyone is well and strong. They had a rest day in preparation for the push up again tomorrow.
