From Sean – ‘ today we went up to Pastukhov Rocks (4700 m). We’ve descended and are camped at 4300 m. Weather isn’t great – white out right now and snow showers forecast for the next few days. In our tents and busy cooking 20 minute noodles’.

The group flew from Moscow to Mineralnye Vody (Mineral Water) this morning and then drove for 3 hours to Terskol. Tony, Sean and Dido are frustratingly still without their gear bags. Departure day for the group – well, for half the group. The Fuchsloch family of 4 are already in Russia enjoying the sights of St Petersburg and will meet Tony, Dido and Sean tomorrow in Moscow at the Aquamarine hotel.
Their flight departs at 20:30 tonight from Joburg, will go via Abu Dhabi and will land in Moscow at 14:00 tomorrow.
